A note on reading the numbers. The dual profile is solid on both platforms, and the company runs its operation out of Mount Pleasant, which makes it the natural call for East Cooper moves. The recent one-star reviews on Google center on damage claims and slow follow-up, and the owner responds actively; read a few of each before booking, and ask up front how they handle a damage claim.
Saltwater Moving: the rising local

The Yelp page agrees but barely exists (two reviews), so treat the Google profile as the real signal and the Yelp score as a placeholder. It's a young company by Charleston standards, which cuts both ways: hungry crews and easy scheduling on one hand, less of a track record through a full hurricane season and August rush on the other.
Two Twigs Moving: the expansion brand with a split personality

The samples are small (seven Charleston Yelp reviews), but the pattern matches what we flagged at the top: a heavily review-solicited Google page next to an unfiltered complaint channel. That doesn't make the 301 Google reviews fake, and plenty describe prompt, professional crews. It does mean you should read the Yelp complaints (billing disputes and damage handling feature) and get the hourly math, fee schedule, and claims process in writing before you book.
Two Men and a Truck: the national standard, Charleston edition

What do they do? Big-crew capacity and fast availability, with everything itemized in writing first
All My Sons carries the biggest Google review base in Charleston (3,163 at 4.5) and the second-lowest Yelp score on this list (1.6 across 154 reviews), the same maximum-gap pattern its Knoxville and Nashville locations show, and moveBuddha's own review pool has it at just 62% positive. The scale is the draw: lots of trucks, lots of crews, and a real shot at short-notice availability the boutiques can't offer. The review spread is the caution. If you book here, treat the paperwork as the job: a written not-to-exceed estimate, every fee (travel time, materials, stairs) itemized before move day, and valuation coverage you understand. College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving: the combo play

What do they do? Moves that double as cleanouts, and short-notice jobs
The Charleston College Hunks franchise offers the pairing nobody else on this list does: a move and a junk-removal run in one booking, which is the most useful combination going for downsizers and estate cleanouts. The Google profile (4.3 across 1,081) trails the market's locals, and the 1.8 on Yelp is consistent with the brand's pattern in other cities. The complaints that show up involve crew professionalism and time-and-cost expectations, so pin down the hourly math and crew size in writing. For the right job, especially with a purge involved, the convenience is real.
The boutiques worth a look
Three smaller locals with excellent, if thinner, profiles: Professional Movers of Charleston (4.9 Google/254, 4.3 Yelp/18, with a professional-organizing sideline), Ready Set Movers (4.9 Google/220), and Affordable Movers of Charleston (4.7 Google/205, one of the few locals advertising piano work). The usual boutique trade-off applies: great crews, limited trucks, and peak-season dates that vanish weeks out.
How to actually choose
Ratings build the shortlist; the quote process finishes the job. Any Charleston mover worth hiring will answer these without hedging: hourly rate and minimum hours, travel-time charges, stair and long-carry fees, what valuation coverage is included (South Carolina's default is 60 cents per pound, and moveBuddha found only one tracked Charleston mover offering full-value protection), the rescheduling policy, and their state license, which you can verify through the South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff.
