Your crew is billed by the hour, so the ten minutes you spend prepping the night before are the cheapest ten minutes of your move. Here's what makes the biggest difference.
Have the truck there ready for our crew. Pick it up before your start time and back it as close to the door as you can. In an Uptown, Downtown, or Knox-Henderson high-rise, the freight elevator comes in two-hour windows booked through the building, so reserve yours now and give us the building name five business days out for the Certificate of Insurance. In Highland Park and University Park, truck size and hours are restricted, so plan a weekday morning. In Bishop Arts, Deep Ellum, and Lower Greenville, the grid is tight and a 20-foot truck is the safe call. If it's curbside parking, hold the spot with your own car ahead of time.
Seal every box and label it with the room it's going to. Anything open-topped gets packed last and moved slowest. Keep boxes near the door and leave a clear path down every hallway and stairwell.
Take apart whatever furniture you can; it speeds things up. Bed frames, table legs, and mirrors off dressers get packed faster if they're disassembled. We'll handle disassembly if you'd like, too.
Set aside what rides with you. Medications, documents, laptops, jewelry, and anything you'd hate to dig out of a box at 9 p.m. are best with you, not with the truck.

Uptown, Downtown, and Knox-Henderson high-rises require COI filings naming the building as additionally insured, request from us 5+ business days out, and most reserve freight elevators in 2-hour windows. Bishop Arts, Deep Ellum, and Lower Greenville have walkable older grids with narrow streets, a 20-26 ft truck is the practical max for most blocks. Highland Park and University Park are restrictive on truck size and operating hours, plan moves for weekday mornings. The Galleria/North Dallas, Lake Highlands, and Lakewood suburbs are car-friendly with easy access. North Tollway and 75/Central traffic doubles between 7-9 AM and 4-7 PM, schedule moves outside those windows. SMU move-in (third weekend of August) and graduation (mid-May) jam the Hillcrest/Mockingbird corridor; book 3-4 weeks ahead for those weekends.

Do you offer packing services?
We don't offer packing services, but we can help with furniture assembly and disassembly in some cases. If you need packing help, our moving coordinators can point you to a packing service.
Do you handle full-service moves?

Can you handle commercial moves?

How does billing work?
We estimate how long your move will take based on the number of boxes, heavy items, and furniture, and the number of bedrooms you're moving. There's a two-mover, two-hour minimum. Our movers work fast, and once they're done you only pay for the time it took.
Is there anything your movers won't move?
Especially heavy or bulky safes and pianos are best left to movers who specialize in those items. Keyboards, obviously, aren't an issue. Gun safes and firearms are best left to you. Contractually, our movers won't touch them.
