HAVE QUESTIONS?

We have answers.

What is your starting pay?+

We pay new Undergrads $14 an hour with a minimum two-hour payout on all jobs, with hourly pay raises for every hour worked. You can also earn tips and get paid for driving to and from the job site on certain jobs. Most Undergrads make $20–$25 an hour after tips and drive pay. Movers who work 20-hour weeks earn around $400–$500 per week.

How do I get a raise?+

After every move, the hours you work go toward an hourly pay raise. The more you work, the more you earn per hour on every job.

What is the work like?+

Want to make money while you work out with friends? You’ll work with other Undergrads to move furniture and boxes. Jobs are typically all days of the week, ranging from 2–4 hours, and make for a great workout. Job types include: Mover (loading/unloading U-Haul trucks), Event Setup (concerts, venues, weddings), Warehouse (moving boxes around the warehouse), and General Labor (a variety of gigs).

What is my work schedule?+

You pick up the jobs you want, when you want to work. All Undergrads set their own hourly schedules around when they want to work. We believe you should have a schedule-friendly way to earn money while still enjoying a healthy social and academic lifestyle.

Do I need equipment?+

Sometimes you need equipment. The customer rents specialized moving equipment (dollies, hand trucks, moving blankets, etc.) directly from their truck-rental provider. That means you don’t need to bring anything but yourself. We’ll advise customers on what to rent.

What areas do you service?+

We have locations across NC, SC, KY, TX, and FL. We operate in all surrounding areas within about an hour of our service locations. Check the city pages below to see which one is closest to you, if you’re in or near one of these cities, there’s a great chance we’re a great fit.

Who will I work with?+

You will only work with other college students in your area. The great part about Undergrads is you work with people you can relate to and enjoy being around. Even better, you never go on a job alone. We always send at least a team of two so you always have a partner.

Do I ever have to drive the truck?+

No. You will never drive the moving truck. You are not legally allowed to. Undergrads only supplies the manpower to move items; we do not supply any transportation. For residential moving jobs, you meet the customer at their starting location, load up or unload the items, then follow them in your own vehicle to the end location.
