Do I need a special license to drive a moving truck?
No. A standard driver's license covers any truck up to 26 feet, with no CDL required. A 15-ft truck handles like a large SUV. Most customers who've never driven one say it wasn't a problem.
What exactly does the crew handle?
Everything except the driving. Loading every item, wrapping all furniture in moving blankets, navigating stairs and elevators, carrying heavy appliances, and placing items exactly where you want them at your new place. Standard furniture disassembly and reassembly included.
Can you book the truck for me?
Yes. Your quote confirmation includes the right size and a direct booking link. We can arrange the rental and add it to your booking. Either way, you're the one driving.
Do I need to be there while they load?
We recommend being present at both ends. You can direct the crew, confirm everything is loaded to your satisfaction before you drive, and tell them where things go at your new place. Most customers find this the best part. You're in charge.
What if something gets damaged?
Every move includes $1,000 in cargo protection. Our crew wraps all furniture before loading. It's part of how we work, not an upsell. If anything is damaged due to crew handling, we make it right.
How much will I actually save?
A typical 2BR move runs $900–$1,800 full-service. The Power Move for the same job: $349–$435 in labor plus $69–$99 for the rental truck. Total: $418–$534. That's a $470–$1,265 savings on a single move.
What if I've never driven a moving truck?
It's more common than you'd think. We'll send you a pickup location close to your current place to minimize drive time. The truck drives wider than a car but not dramatically different. U-Haul offers optional damage coverage for about $28/day, worth taking for peace of mind.
