Damage Protection Overview
Undergrads provides basic Released Valuation coverage on all moves at $0.60 per pound per damaged item, with maximum liability caps:
- $1,000 per order (Movers Only / Lumper Services)
- $2,000 per order (Truck + Movers / Full-Service Moving)
This coverage applies to household goods damaged while in the possession of movers and is not insurance — it's weight-based valuation only. We voluntarily abide by federal tariff laws to provide basic Released Valuation coverage on all moves, the same coverage that a full-service moving company must provide.
What is Covered
- Household property damage (wood floors, carpet, walls, doors) caused directly by movers while on-site
- Items dropped or damaged during loading/unloading by movers
- Real property damage up to the order liability caps
- General liability coverage protects customers' residences from direct mover actions on-site
Critical requirement: Damage must be documented on the work order before movers depart the service location.
