What to know about moving in Houston
Houston is enormous and famously unzoned, so a single move can run from a downtown high-rise to a master-planned subdivision an hour away. Two things shape the calendar: summer heat and the Texas Medical Center. From June through September the humidity is punishing, so morning start times are easier on the crew and your belongings, and we book the largest moves first thing. The Medical Center, the largest in the world, drives steady year-round relocations for residents, nurses, and researchers, many into Midtown and Museum District high-rises that require a Certificate of Insurance and a reserved freight-elevator window, so confirm both with building management once your date is set. The Heights and Montrose are full of older bungalows on narrow lots with tight driveways and street parking, which calls for a smaller truck and an early start. Out in the Energy Corridor along I-10, corporate relocations for Exxon, Chevron, Shell, and BP happen all year. Traffic on I-610, I-10, and US-59 is reliably heavy from 7 to 9am and 4 to 7pm, so cross-town moves between areas like Katy, Sugar Land, and The Woodlands are best scheduled to start before the morning rush. If you are near a bayou or in a known flood zone, ground-floor timing matters during hurricane season, so tell us about any first-floor storage when you book.

Do I need to provide a truck?
We're labor-only movers. You rent the truck from U-Haul, Penske, or Budget. We handle all the loading, unloading, and heavy lifting. We'll tell you the exact size to get and can book it for you if you want.
Is there anything your movers won't move?
Especially heavy or bulky safes and pianos are best left to movers who specialize in those items. Keyboards, obviously, aren't an issue. Gun safes and firearms are best left to you. Contractually, our movers won't touch them.
