Dilworth Movers. Guaranteed to Show. Nothing Hidden.
Most Dilworth moves: $170–$550 · 2-person crew · rate locked before we start
Get My Dilworth Quote →$5 to reserve · pay after the move. Free cancellation 48 hours before your move. Takes 60 seconds. Or call (980) 279-5942 for same-day crews.
Most movers quote one price and hand you a different bill at the door. We lock the rate before we touch a single item. No stair fees, no truck fuel surcharges, nothing added at the end. Either rent the truck yourself (most popular option) or we can supply a truck and driver, too. Our university-student moving crew handles every box, stair, and piece of furniture. And if a mover arrives 30 minutes after the scheduled start, $50 comes off your bill.

THE POWER MOVE
Our Dilworth movers do the heavy lifting
You just rent the truck
U-Haul has 23,000+ locations across the US, and most customers in Dilworth are within 5 miles of one. Any truck up to 26 foot runs on a standard driver's license, with no CDL or commercial license required.
What driving one actually feels like
- You sit higher than any SUV. You can see the full road ahead and every lane.
- No minimum speed. Go 45 mph the whole way. Take every exit slowly. No one cares.
- You'll need one new skill: turn wide at intersections. Otherwise, it's pretty simple.
- Pick up on your phone via U-Haul's Truck Share 24/7, with no counter, no paperwork, no wait.
“I was genuinely scared, until I started driving it. Just slow down, take the foot off the gas before going downhill, brake slowly, don't hug the curb while turning.” From a first-time mover.
Quick truck guide
Book in advance. U-Haul confirmed reservations have priority on equipment.
Tell us your home size. We name the exact truck. You grab it, we're already waiting at your door.Rather not drive? Ask us about Power Move driver included.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
What to know about moving in Dilworth
Dilworth is Charlotte's historic streetcar suburb just south of Uptown, full of 1900s-1920s bungalows on tree-lined streets around East and West Boulevard and Latta Park. Expect narrow driveways, on-street parking, and tight original stairwells, so a smaller truck and an early start help. It's also the closest neighborhood to Atrium Health/CMC for medical-staff relocations.

great value for what we needed
“Kaamil and Will were solid! We reached out with a labour-only request as I needed help unloading a 16ft container from PODS into our new home. I was very happy that they were able to get it done in just under two hours, especially considering we got one of the hottest days in the NC heat. The team at Undergrads was quick to respond to my request for a quote, and I was very happy that they could reserve a spot for us in under 48 hours. It was great value for what we needed in a pretty straightforward move, and would happily recommend them accordingly”

They got back to me right away and were able to schedule my move for the very next day!
“Absolute lifesavers! Undergrads seriously saved the day for me! I reached out super late the night before, honestly not expecting to find anyone on such short notice. They got back to me right away and were able to schedule my move for the very next day! Alex and Graham were amazing — friendly, professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful. They made what could have been a very stressful moving day so much easier. I’m so grateful they were able to help me at the last minute. I would absolutely use Undergrads again and highly recommend them. Thank you, Alex and Graham!”

worked so fast they beat our time estimate by two hours
“I could not recommend this company enough. We had Nathan and Kevin assist us with our move to Fort Mill, and they saved my back from stress it just can’t keep up with anymore. They were polite, timely, and worked so fast they beat our time estimate by two hours, while getting additional work done! Don’t think twice, book Undergrads and be a step closer to actually enjoying your new space!”

the same care that they would if our possessions were theirs
“William and Samuel were great—A1. They handled everything with the same care that they would if our possessions were theirs. They were tireless and even helped us strategize how to pack the pod to reduce the risk of damage. We used Undergrads Moving last year and our experience was just as great this time.”

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked about Dilworth moves
How much does it cost to move in Dilworth?
Every move is priced by the hour. The rate is locked before we start, with no stair fees, fuel surcharges, or hidden add-ons. Two movers run $112 per hour, so studio and 1BR moves typically run $170–$350 (2–3 hours). A 2–3BR home is typically $450–$550 (3–5 hours). Truck rental is separate if you need one. If we finish early, you pay less.
Do I need to provide a truck?
We're labor-only movers. You rent the truck from U-Haul, Penske, or Budget. We handle all the loading, unloading, and heavy lifting. We'll tell you the exact size to get and can book it for you if you want.
Is there anything your movers won't move?
Especially heavy or bulky safes and pianos are best left to movers who specialize in those items. Keyboards, obviously, aren't an issue. Gun safes and firearms are best left to you. Contractually, our movers won't touch them.
What's the Show-Up Guarantee?
We're confident enough in our show rate to put $50 behind every booking. We've completed 1,184+ moves in Dilworth. If a mover arrives 30 minutes after the scheduled start, let us know and we'll knock $50 off your final bill.
Are your movers background-checked?
Yes. Every Undergrads mover is a background-checked university student. They work under their real names, connected to their university email.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Undergrads is a fully licensed and insured moving company in every market we serve, including Dilworth. Every move includes $1,000 in damage protection. If you're moving into a high-rise or building that requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI), contact us. We handle COI requests before move day.
What neighborhoods in Dilworth do you serve?
We serve all areas of Dilworth including East Boulevard, Latta Park, Kenilworth, Dilworth Road, and more. If you're anywhere in the Dilworth metro area, we can likely help. Call (980) 279-5942 if you're unsure.
How quickly can you schedule a move?
Same-week scheduling is available in Dilworth most of the year. Weekend dates in peak season (May–September) fill fast; book early if you have a fixed date. We're available 7 days a week.
Can I cancel or reschedule my move?
Yes. Cancellation is free 48 hours before your move, and rescheduling costs nothing with the same notice. The $5 reservation simply holds your date; you pay for the move after it happens.
