From lease signing to first night settled
This is the full picture — not just move day. Every step, in order, specific to Catalyst.
Signing day
Reserve your freight elevator slot. One of Catalyst's three elevators doubles as a freight elevator. Reserve it for your move through the leasing office at 704-930-2900.
2 weeks out
Book your Undergrads crew. $5 locks your date — pay after the move.
1 week out
Reserve your moving truck. Recommended: 15-ft for 1BR, 20-ft for 2BR+. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Uptown Charlotte, 1224 N Tryon St (about 1.3 miles).
3 days out
Set up your utilities: electric, internet, renter's insurance.
Move day
Truck parks: The parking deck next door is entered from an alley off W 1st St and has a 7-ft height limit, so a box truck will not fit. Ask the office where to stage the truck on move day.. Your crew handles all loading and unloading. You drive.
Day after
Return the truck. Unbox the essentials. You are home.

What you need to know that is specific to this building.
Reserve the freight elevator as soon as you have a date; month-end slots go first in a 462-unit building
Don't try to pull the rental truck into the deck: the clearance is 7 feet
Moving out? If you painted any walls, Catalyst asks that they be primed before you leave to avoid fees
Ask the office whether the building needs a Certificate of Insurance (COI). If it does, Undergrads emails one to management at no extra cost
