Do I need to be enrolled in college to apply?
Yes. Undergrads exclusively hires current college and university students. When you apply, we'll ask which school you're enrolled at.
How much do Austin movers actually make?
Pay starts at $14/hr with a $28 minimum per job. After tips, most of our Austin movers make $20–$25/hr. Working 3–5 days a week, that's usually $400–$600/week before tips.
What's the schedule like?
Completely flexible. You give us your unavailable times (class, labs, other jobs, "no early mornings please") and we only send you jobs that fit. We run 7 days a week.
Where are the jobs?
Within a 30-mile radius of Austin — so anywhere from Downtown to Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Bee Cave, and Buda. Fuel is reimbursed.
Do I need a truck or moving experience?
No and no. The customer provides the U-Haul truck. You just need to show up and help load or unload. We'll train you.
Will I ever be alone on a job?
Never. We always send at least two Undergrads to a job, so you'll always have a partner — usually another student from your school.
Is this a W-2 job or 1099?
Undergrads Moving is a part-time contract (1099) role. You pick up jobs on your schedule, keep all tips, and get mileage reimbursement.
