Signing day
Immediately call to reserve your freight elevator and loading dock. 2-week minimum. The Independent fills up fast.
2 weeks out
Book your Undergrads crew. Lock in your date for $5.
1 week out
Reserve your truck at UHaul on S Lamar (2.8 mi). 15-ft for 1BR, 20-ft for 2BR+.
3 days out
Set up Austin Energy and internet (AT&T Fiber recommended). Confirm COI received.
Move day
Loading dock on West Ave — 2-hour window. Upper floor residents: budget an extra hour for elevator waits.
Day after
Return the truck. Lady Bird Lake is a 5-minute walk from your door.
