From lease signing to first night settled

Signing day
Call building management to reserve your freight elevator. Weekday only — plan carefully.
2 weeks out
Book your Undergrads crew. Lock in your date for $5.
1 week out
Reserve a 15-ft truck at UHaul on New Bern Ave (1.5 mi). Loading dock maxes out at 15-ft.
3 days out
Set up Duke Energy and internet. Confirm elevator reservation is confirmed in writing.
Move day
Truck pulls into loading zone on S West St. This is a tight dock — have the driver position carefully.
Day after
Return the truck. You're in the Warehouse District — explore Transfer Co Food Hall nearby.
