Portsmouth's Olde Towne is one of the oldest street grids in Virginia: narrow one-ways, historic row houses, and curb parking that fills early, so a smaller truck and an early start pay off there. Everything crossing the Elizabeth River runs through the Midtown or Downtown tunnels, both tolled and both slow at rush hour, so build the tunnel into the schedule rather than discovering it with a loaded truck.
