How soon can movers actually get to you?
“Same-day movers” means different things to different companies. We have a deep bench of licensed and insured moving crews across Fort Worth and a dispatch team whose whole job is finding the one closest to you with an open afternoon.
In practice: if you call us before 9 AM on a weekday, we can usually get a crew to you between noon and 4 PM the same day. Our protection covers our crew's handling. Damage that happens in transit while you're driving the rental truck is between you and the rental company, so take their coverage if the load is worth it. And if you have items that need specialty handling, a piano, a safe, fine art, tell us. We'll say whether it's a job for us or for a mover who specializes in those things. We'd rather send that move to someone else than put your things at risk.

Prepping for a last-minute move (and keeping the bill down)
You're paying for crew time, so anything that shortens the job saves you money. These six things make the biggest difference.
Get the truck first
We're labor-only, which is why we're affordable, but it means you rent the truck. Same-day rental availability in Fort Worth is the thing most likely to sink a last-minute move, so call U-Haul, Penske, or Budget before you call us. As a rule, a studio fits a cargo van or 10-foot truck, a one-bedroom a 15-footer, and a two- or three-bedroom home needs 20 feet or more. If you can't get a truck, call us anyway; we can often help you get one sorted, or at least think through the other options.
Reserve the elevator
If either address is an apartment or condo, call the front desk now and book the freight elevator. Downtown and West 7th buildings often require it, and a crew waiting in a lobby is a crew you're paying by the hour.
Box what you can, stage it by the door
You don't need to finish packing. You need loose items in boxes or bags and everything that's leaving in one spot near the exit. Crews load fastest when they aren't hunting through rooms.

Moving Tips for a Last-Minute Fort Worth Move
Beat the traffic
I-35W through downtown and the I-30 interchange back up from about 7 to 9 in the morning and 4 to 7 in the evening, and event days at Dickies Arena or an Arlington stadium date can jam I-30 for hours either side of kickoff. For a cross-town move, a mid-morning weekday start keeps the truck moving instead of idling on the freeway.
Plan around the heat
From June through September, Fort Worth runs in the high 90s and often tops 100. We book the largest moves first thing in the morning and keep the crew hydrated, which protects both your belongings and the people carrying them.
Sort out parking and building access
Curbside parking is workable in most Fort Worth neighborhoods, but Fairmount and the Near Southside mix narrow streets with alley-only garages, so set out cones early to hold your space. For the downtown and West 7th towers, reserve the freight elevator and confirm any Certificate of Insurance with building management several business days before move day. During the Stock Show in January, plan around the Cultural District entirely.
