Moving on the Grand Strand: summer traffic, condo elevators, and 60 miles of coast
Myrtle Beach is a beach town, and so there are a LOT more people around during the summer. From June through August, traffic on the 17 Bypass and Highway 501 doubles, beachfront loading windows are claimed months out, and crews book solid; from October through March a weekday move is easy to schedule with a few days' notice. Spring and fall are the real peaks for people who live here, when leases and closings cluster in April, May, September, and October, and the "snowbird" winter rentals turn over in late fall and again around Easter. Hurricane season runs June through November with September the riskiest month, and a named storm reschedules everything at no charge.
The oceanfront is its own kind of move. Condo towers along Ocean Boulevard and up in Arcadian Shores, Maisons sur Mer among them, are HOA buildings with gated entry, no public dock, and a service elevator reserved through the front desk, and they want a Certificate of Insurance and your crew and truck details before the gate opens. Give us five business days for those. Inland, Carolina Forest and Market Common are newer communities with wide streets and HOA move-hour rules, and Surfside Beach is small-lot beach houses where a 20-foot truck is the practical limit on some streets.
The Grand Strand is 60 miles long, so "Myrtle Beach" can mean Little River at the state line or Pawleys Island an hour south. Confirm which end you are on: North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach proper, or the south strand through Surfside, Garden City, and Murrells Inlet, and know that Georgetown and Pawleys are far enough that drive time shows on the clock.

Is there anything your movers won't move?
Especially heavy or bulky safes and pianos are best left to movers who specialize in those items. Keyboards, obviously, aren't an issue. Gun safes and firearms are best left to you. Contractually, our movers won't touch them.
