We have a 2-hour and 2-Undergrad minimum on all moves.

Undergrads provides the most valuable resource for any move: the muscle! Our strong and capable student movers will handle all the lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading you need.

Sometimes you need equipment! For specialized moving equipment (like dollies, hand trucks, moving blankets, etc.), we recommend customers rent these items directly from their truck rental provider (such as U-Haul). This ensures you have the exact equipment you need for your specific move, without any extra cost for items you might not use. It creates a more seamless experience, as you can pick up and return everything in one convenient location. We’re happy to advise on what equipment might be helpful for your move when you book with us.

Ensuring you have the right supplies and boxes is crucial for a smooth, stress-free move. While we bring the people power, you’ll want to make sure you’re well-stocked with moving boxes, tape, packing paper, and bubble wrap to keep your belongings safe and organized. We recommend picking up competitively priced packing supplies and sturdy boxes at your local hardware store or truck rental provider—these spots usually have everything you need in one place and often offer a range of sizes to fit everything from books to big, bulky items.

We have a vast network of students covering a large majority of the United States. We operate in all surrounding areas within about an hour of our service locations. 

If you are a little outside of our service location, we can still do your move. We will just have to charge a slight fee to pass along to the movers for their time in transit.

We accept all major credit cards at the conclusion of your move. We do NOT accept cash or checks.

Our booking process is straightforward—most moves may require a small deposit to secure your reservation. This deposit is typically applied directly to your total move cost (not as an additional fee) and helps lock in your spot on our schedule. Yes, all Undergrads are university students!

This means we’re registered with the state and operate fully above board. Our licensing and insurance protect both you and our student movers—so if anything unexpected were to happen on the job, you’re covered. Your peace of mind is our priority.

We want your move to go as smoothly as possible—and part of that means keeping everyone safe. There are a few items we cannot move for you, and it’s important to know what they are before moving day arrives.

While our student moving teams are strong, capable, and eager to help, there are certain items that most professional moving services—including Undergrads—aren’t able to handle for safety, legal, or insurance reasons. To help you prepare for a seamless move, here’s a quick overview of what you’ll need to transport yourself or make alternate arrangements for:

• Hazardous Materials: Anything that could pose a risk during transport is a no-go. This includes flammable items (like gasoline, paint thinners, propane tanks, and lighter fluid), chemicals, pesticides, and even fireworks. Movers aren’t licensed to haul these by law.
• Perishable Foods: Opened food, produce, and anything prone to spoiling is typically not allowed, especially if it could attract pests or leak during the move. Sealed, non-perishable pantry items are usually okay, but double-check with your rental truck provider.
• Live Animals or Plants: While Fido might love a road trip, living things—including pets, aquarium fish, and houseplants—should travel with you instead of in the back of a moving truck. Changes in temperature or a lack of fresh air can harm them.
• Valuables & Personal Items: Movers recommend you personally carry cash, credit cards, prescriptions, important documents (like passports or medical records), jewelry, and family heirlooms. It reduces stress for everyone!
• Guns, Ammunition & Explosives: For obvious reasons, firearms, ammo, and any kind of explosive material can’t be moved by pros. If you need to transport these, review state and federal regulations or visit your local firearm retailer for guidance.

• Household chemicals, including bleach, ammonia, and other strong cleaners.

Great question! For safety reasons, there are several items our movers can’t handle—including fertilizer, fire extinguishers, batteries (like car or household types), household cleaners, and propane tanks. These materials are considered hazardous and are best transported by you personally.

We recommend that you keep all prescription drugs and essential medications with you during your move. This is for your safety and peace of mind—having immediate access to important medications is crucial in case of emergencies or unexpected needs.

If you have medications or other personal items you can’t live without, it’s best to transport them yourself. That way, you’ll know exactly where they are at all times and can access them easily if necessary during the move.

Great question! For health and safety reasons, we’re unable to move perishable foods—including anything fresh, refrigerated, or frozen. These items can spoil quickly during a move, especially on warm Charleston days, leading to potential messes and unpleasant odors.

To make things easier, here are a few tips for your move:

• Plan ahead: Try to use up most of your perishable groceries in the days leading up to your move.
• Share the love: If you still have perishables left, consider giving them to friends, neighbors, or a local food bank.
• Bring it with you: If there are items you’d like to keep (such as frozen treats or specialty items), pack them in a cooler and transport them in your own vehicle.

For everyone’s safety—yours, your furry friends, and your beloved greenery—professional movers typically can’t take responsibility for transporting animals or plants. The inside of moving trucks isn’t designed with comfort or airflow in mind; temperatures can swing from sweltering to freezing depending on the season, and there’s not much circulation to keep living things happy. Because of this, we ask that you make alternate arrangements to move your pets and plants. That way, you can ensure they arrive happy and healthy at your new home!
